11th Annual Celebrate Our Youth Breakfast
Net raised in 2009 $34,500
On May 27th at our annual breakfast John Keister, Former host of the Seattle T V hit “Almost Live” provided laughter and merriment for us all to enjoy. Students who were the recipients of various programs and activities provided by the Yakima Schools Foundation this school year provided the entertainment. School bands played. Band students from our 5 middle schools, wearing their new uniforms, greeted our quests. Approximately 300 guests were in attendance at the Convention Center. |

Center
The 2007 speaker was AnnRene' Joseph, Program
Supervisor OSPI, with a focus on the Arts - Communicating
and integrating life, literacy and learning through experience
for all learners.
The Celebrate Our Youth event in 2007 raised $26,000. |

speaker - Phil Mahre - From White Pass to Sarajevo & still competing!
Phil spoke on what it takes to become an Olympic gold medallist
and how a person sets their goals and then summons the commitment
to finish on top. He shared his personal story and spoke on how
his life lessons applied to the challenges faced by our students
and educators.
